SOMTEL Fiber Service
Fiber, wireless and IPTV services built for homes and businesses that depend on a reliable connection.

No hidden charges
24/7 customer care
Connectivity businesses can build on
Somtel Fiber Optic is our enterprise-grade service: dedicated, symmetric bandwidth delivered over our own fibre, backed by a written service-level agreement and a field team that answers to it. It is the same network that carries banks, hospitals, ministries, hotels and university campuses across the Somali region.
What makes it a business circuit
Dedicated bandwidth
Not a contended consumer connection - the capacity you buy is the capacity you get, at nine in the morning and at nine at night
Symmetric speeds
So uploads are as fast as downloads, which matters for backups, video calls and hosted systems
Static IP addresses
For VPNs, mail servers, CCTV and anything else that needs to be reachable
A service-level agreement
Covering availability and response time, with priority fault handling
A named account manager
Who knows your sites, rather than a general queue
Our services
Fiber Services (FTTX / FTTA)
Fibre run directly to your building or to a nearby aggregation point
Wireless Services (P2P and W-ADSL)
Licensed point-to-point links for sites fibre has not reached yet, and wireless broadband where a quick install matters more than maximum capacity
IPTV Service
Live television and on-demand content over the same connection, popular with hotels and hospitality
Enterprise solutions
Multi-site networks, backup links, short codes, bulk SMS and IVR, joined up under one account
Multi-site and redundancy
Branch networks can be linked into a single private network so traffic between sites never leaves our backbone. For operations that cannot afford downtime, we pair a primary fibre circuit with a wireless or 4G backup that takes over automatically.
Good to know
The detail, in short
Getting connected
1. **Tell us your sites.** We need the address of each location and a rough idea of how many people and systems will use the connection. 2. **We survey.** An engineer confirms what can be delivered at each address and how the fibre will be routed. 3. **You get a written proposal.** Bandwidth, installation, monthly cost and the service-level terms, in plain language. 4. **We install and hand over.** Most surveyed sites are live within a few working days, and we do not close the job until you have tested it.
Support after install
Enterprise faults go straight to a priority queue, day or night. You get a reference number, an engineer assigned, and an update until it is closed - not a promise to call back.
